I enjoy being a part of the LMU Regional Ambassador Program because it helps me stay connected to my beloved alma mater, as well as the alumni in my region (shout out to San Diego!). It gives me an opportunity to give back to LMU by speaking at open houses in my area, speaking with admitted students and their parents, and hosting the regional happy hour events. These are the best events to attend as alumni because the attendees all want you to tell them how great LMU is, and it’s hard not to! Through my continued involvement with the ambassador program, I’ve been invited to be an administrator for an affinity group in The Pride and I was part of the class of 2005’s 15-year reunion committee. I always enjoy giving back to the school that gave so much to me.
Since graduating from LMU, Amanda Gonzales ’05 has been in San Diego working at a private university. She is currently the assistant director of alumni relations for one of the university’s graduate programs. Amanda and her husband have three children and she can’t wait for them to visit the bluff with her some day!
