We have waited anxiously to welcome you back to the bluff for a celebration that’s been worth the wait! Join your fellow alumni for a few days of fun and connection at our Grand Reunions and the 67th Alumni BBQ.
Whether it’s been one year or 50 since you’ve been on campus, we look forward to celebrating with you. Reminisce about your time as a student and reconnect with your classmates — it will be a weekend with something for everyone to enjoy!

67th Alumni BBQ
The biggest LMU alumni tradition is back! Join alumni, family, and friends in Sunken Garden for delicious BBQ, drinks, and family fun. The BBQ will feature several alumni-owned businesses, and campus tours are available for you to check out what's new on the bluff. Prior to the BBQ, you are invited to join the community at 10 a.m. for Alumni Mass in Sacred Heart Chapel.
If you are interested in helping at Alumni BBQ, volunteer opportunities are available in several areas.

Seaver College’s 50th Anniversary Celebration
Friday, Sept. 16, 2022 | 4–6 p.m.
In spring of 1972, then Loyola University announced the merger of the science, engineering, and mathematics departments to form the College of Science and Engineering. Join us in celebrating 50 years of science, engineering, and mathematics education at LMU at this milestone event.
The evening kicks off with highlights from a few of Seaver College’s interdisciplinary research teams. Then head to the event reception where you can explore project posters developed by summer research students who will be in attendance to answer questions on their projects.

Join friends, family, and the Jesuit Community in remembering Father Dick Rolfs and Father Robert Welch, both of whom passed away this year and were elemental to the foundation and growth of LMU. Reception immediately following in the Jesuit Community.

LMU’s Inclusive History and Images Project (IHIP), in cooperation with the university’s Anti-Racism Project, seeks to gather oral histories and artifacts from alumni to gain a deeper understanding of Loyola Marymount University. You are invited and encouraged to bring images to Alumni BBQ to be scanned or digitized that represent the diverse and often unrepresented experiences of our LMU community so they can be included in this important project.
