BRONX MÓVIL

Tell Us Why this Organization/Cause is Important to You or the Nominee
In 2018, Tamara Oyola-Santiago, in partnership with Alexis Del Rio and Nelson Gonzalez, created Bronx Móvil, a harm-reduction mutual aid collective that is mobile, street-based, and fully bilingual in Spanish and English. The organization focuses on individuals experiencing housing insecurity in the Bronx and Washington Heights in Manhattan. This initiative emphasizes harm reduction through radical love, providing support on the streets during weekends and late nights when many agencies serving homeless individuals are closed.

Hope is a powerful force that should be at the heart of your work, grounded in love. This love encompasses who you are, your community, and what you do. When we love deeply, we unlock our potential; we become both empowering and empowered. We can act with grace and embrace revolutionary change. What could be more revolutionary than loving so deeply that we heal the world?
