I am a proud LAA Ambassador because it not only allows me to stay connected with the LMU LAA comunidad, but also because it provides me with an opportunity to give back to a program and a community that has given so much to me. I was a LAA scholar throughout my time at LMU, and nobody had my back like LAA did. The Board members and the alumni network are unmatched and some of the best memories I have each year are at the LAA Scholarship Awards Dinner. I continue to volunteer as a LAA Ambassador with my best friend at LMU, because we love connecting with the alumni community and showcasing all of the amazing talent and accomplishments that our community has to offer.
Alyssa Perez ’15 has since returned to the bluff and now works in the Center for Service and Action as the Assistant Director of Alternative Breaks and Advocacy. A fun fact is that she loves music, dancing, and learning new recipes! As a current LMU staff member and an alumna, the Alumni BBQ is her favorite weekend of good food, good people, and a strong sense of community. She hopes to see many of you at the next one!
