I met Kim in my final semester in LMU. She's from the Philippines, where I grew up, and she spent a semester at LMU as part of a Study Abroad program. Our friendship started when we met in OISS and we eventually started dating after I asked her out one night at the Bluff! As I graduated at the end of that semester, she had to go back to the Philippines to finish her studies while I remained in the US. We both knew the challenges of a long distance relationship, but we were determined to make it work. And against all odds and after being in LDR across 3 countries for nearly 8 years, we did it! I proposed to her just over a year ago in Japan and we both can't wait to start a life together. Without LMU, our paths would never have crossed. Always grateful for LMU for being the beginning of our love story!
