The love story began like many I’m sure, two strangers sitting in Father Sweeney’s History of Mexico class who seemingly found each other walking in the same direction after class. Brief walks led to small talk and coincidently finding each other at campus gatherings. A friendship turned into admiration followed by love. John symbolically proposed on the Bluff with Father Sweeney, who became a good friend of the couple, providing a blessing. Twenty years after meeting and thirteen years of marriage, the couple still visits the campus to reminisce on how it all started.
