We met during our sophomore year after Christmas. Melissa had studied abroad in Bonn, Germany the semester before, and our paths hadn't crossed freshman year. We were both involved with planning a bonfire together with our respective service organizations (Gryphon Circle and Magis) when we first. We finally started dating the first day of junior year. After our graduation in May of 2018, Brian moved to Washington, DC for one year to be a post-graduate volunteer at a homeless healthcare clinic, while Melissa stayed in Los Angeles to begin an engineering job with Boeing. In August 2019, Brian began medical school at Rush Medical School in Chicago. He proposed to Melissa in Manhattan Beach in March 2020 (at the site of our first day). We will be getting married at Sacred Heart Chapel this May (Covid permitting!)
